Poppy – Plum – Buttons

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g lard or butter
  • some lemon peel, untreated, grated
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 50 g poppy seeds, ground
  • 100 g plum jam
  • some powdered sugar for dusting
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

with plum jam, makes about 40 pieces

Cream the butter, lard (both at room temperature), lemon zest, and powdered sugar with a hand mixer until fluffy. Knead in the flour and poppy seeds. Form the dough into small walnut-sized balls. Place on a baking sheet and make indentations in the cookies with your finger. Fill these indentations with plum jam. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
