Ginger cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 g ginger
  • 150 g flour
  • 25 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 75 g butter or margarine
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Quickly prepared – super tasty, makes about 50 pieces

Peel the ginger and grate it using a grater. Knead the ginger with the remaining ingredients using a hand mixer until a smooth dough forms. Wrap the dough in foil and chill for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 3 mm and cut out cookies as desired (I used a cloverleaf cookie cutter because I was giving the cookies as a birthday present). Spread the dough onto two baking sheets lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Decorate with icing or glaze, if desired.
