Mix the amaretto with the sugar. Press half of the sugar into 6 holes of a 12-hole silicone ice cube tray. Tint the other half of the sugar with food coloring and press it into the remaining holes. Let the sugar dry in a warm, dry place for about 6 hours. Once solid, press the sugar out of the molds and use it to sweeten tea or coffee. Tip: Place the sugar in a cellophane bag, tie it with ribbon, and gift it in a pretty sugar bowl with sugar tongs.
