Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g Brussels sprouts, small florets
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), diced
- 200 g chestnuts, cooked, vacuum-packed
- 1 apple, sour, peeled, pitted
- Rapeseed oil
- Salt
- Black pepper, freshly ground
- Thyme
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cook the Brussels sprouts in boiling salted water for 10 minutes, remove, and drain. Heat rapeseed oil in a large pan, brown the Brussels sprouts, onion, and chestnuts, add the apple, season with salt, pepper, and thyme, and cook covered over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Serve with game and hearty roasts.
