Orange liqueur cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 orange(s), grated peel
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur
  • 375 g flour
  • 125 g almond(s), ground
  • 6 tbsp orange liqueur
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes

Christmas biscuits, makes about 40 pieces

Cream together the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and butter. Add the eggs, orange zest, and liqueur. Combine the flour and almonds and knead in. Shape the dough into logs (4 cm in diameter). Wrap in foil and chill for 2-3 hours. Cut the logs into approximately 1.5 cm thick slices and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for approximately 12 minutes. Brush the logs with the liqueur while still warm and dust with powdered sugar.
