Marinated rump steaks

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 rump steaks of 200 g each or more, depending on your appetite
  • 6 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brandy
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp steak seasoning
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 16 minutes

Mix all ingredients together and add both rump steaks. Marinate for 2 to 4 hours, depending on the time. Then remove the steaks from the marinade and pat dry with kitchen paper. Fry in hot oil on both sides, ideally in an iron grill pan, or place on the grill rack if you have the option. For medium steaks, cook for 3 minutes on each side. For rare (rare) steaks, cook for 2 to 2.5 minutes on each side. I always use a slightly thicker steak for my husband than for me. This way, I can grill his rare and mine medium.
