Creamed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, waxy
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 100 g ham, diced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ liter meat broth or vegetable broth
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • Parsley
  • 1 cup crème fraîche

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with ham and crème fraîche

Boil the potatoes, peel them, and slice them. Melt the butter, add the onion and diced ham, and sauté until translucent. Then sauté the flour in it and deglaze with the stock and milk (stirring constantly to avoid lumps). Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 10 minutes, then season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Then stir in the crème fraîche. Heat the potato slices in the sauce and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley before serving. The cooking time does not include the cooking time of the potatoes.
