  • 4 tsp paprika powder, hot

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Turkish pasta

For the garlic sauce, mix the ayran (or natural yogurt) with the lemon juice. Press the garlic through a garlic press and add to the yogurt. Season with salt. A little tip: Make this a few hours in advance so the garlic sauce can infuse a little longer. Cook the penne in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions. At the same time, dice the onion. Brown the ground beef in a large pan and then add the onions to the ground beef. Cook both for 3-4 minutes. Add the cooked penne and the ajvar to the ground beef and onion mixture. Cook everything for 2-3 minutes. Season with hot paprika, salt, and pepper. Arrange the Turkish noodles on a deep plate and add the garlic sauce, if desired. Serve with crispy flatbread.
