Millet, Swiss Chard and Lentil One Pot

The perfect millet, swiss chard and lentil one pot recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 50 g Millet
  • 50 g Red or yellow lentils
  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 1 tsp Ghee or other oil
  • 1 Msp Cumin
  • 1 Msp Turmeric
  • 1 Msp Ground ginger
  • 1 tsp Curry mix
  • 300 ml Vegetable broth
  • 100 g Swiss chard or spinach
  • Lemon juice
  1. Heat the ghee in a saucepan and roast the diced onion in it. Add the squeezed garlic with the spices and roast briefly. Wash the lentils and millet well and add them with the broth. Simmer with the lid on and over medium heat for about 12 minutes.
  2. Chop the washed Swiss chard and stir into the lentil mixture as soon as it is done. If you use frozen chard or spinach, simply heat it in the pan for a few minutes without defrosting. Season to taste with lemon juice and, if necessary, salt.
