Baked figs with vanilla ice cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 figs, ripe
  • 1 orange(s), untreated
  • 20 g ground almonds
  • 20 g chopped pistachios
  • 30 g sugar
  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

ready in 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease a baking dish. Wash the figs and remove the stems. Make a cross-shaped cut in the tops of the figs and gently press them apart. Place the figs in the baking dish. Thinly grate the orange zest and squeeze out the juice. Mix the almonds, pistachios, sugar, orange zest, and half of the juice. Fill the figs with the mixture and pour the remaining juice over them. Bake the figs for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve the figs warm with ice cream.
