Pear tart

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s), large
  • 3 sheets of puff pastry, frozen
  • 80 g sugar
  • whipped cream
  • Cinnamon
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C/Gas Mark 4. Heat the butter and sugar in a pie dish or other round, ovenproof dish until caramelized. Core and halve the pears, and add them to the butter. Cook for approximately 8-9 minutes, until the mixture is dark brown. Brush the puff pastry with butter, roll it out, and place it over the pears. Press in the edges and brush the surface with butter. Place the dish on the middle shelf of the oven (place a sieve on top of the tart for weight if desired) and bake for 35 minutes. Allow the pear tart to cool in the dish, then turn it out and serve lukewarm with cinnamon cream (whip the cream and fold in the cinnamon).
