Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 tbsp syrup (maple syrup)
- 3 tbsp margarine
- 4 sweet potatoes
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 large onions
- Black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Bake the sweet potatoes with their skins on in the oven at 200°C for about 1 hour. Finely chop the onions and sauté them in the margarine until soft, then add the brown sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon and let them caramelize. When the potatoes are tender, peel them and arrange them in a bowl. Pour the onion sauce over them and serve sprinkled with a little brown sugar and freshly ground black pepper.
