Homemade applesauce with banana

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large apple, e.g. Granny Smith
  • 10 tbsp water
  • some soy milk (soy drink) or cow’s milk
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • ½ small banana(s)
  • n. B. Honey, approx. 1 tbsp

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and quarter the apple so that the core can be removed. One large apple is equivalent to one serving of applesauce. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Meanwhile, cut the apple into small cubes and add to the boiling water. Simmer until the apple has softened and about two-thirds of the water has evaporated. If the apples are already soft but there is still water, simply pour off some of the water. Puree the apple pieces as desired. To sweeten, add half a small banana and puree as well. Then add a little soy milk or cow’s milk and mix with the pureed apples, then bring back to a boil. Finally, refine with the desired amount of cinnamon. If the applesauce is still too thick, simply add more milk or water. Those who like it a little sweeter can add a tablespoon of honey.
