Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pear(s), small and round
- 750 ml mulled wine
- 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
- 3 star anise
- 50 g sugar
- 3 tbsp pudding powder, vanilla
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 4 scoops of ice cream, vanilla
- Sugar granules
- powdered sugar

delicious Christmas dessert made from pears in mulled wine
Peel the pears, leaving the stem and blossom on the fruit. Heat the mulled wine with sugar, cinnamon stick, and star anise in a small saucepan. Add the pears, cover, and simmer gently for 30 minutes. Turn the pears occasionally to ensure even color. Then let the pears cool in the mulled wine, ideally overnight. Shortly before serving, remove the pears and spices from the mulled wine, stir the vanilla pudding powder with the orange juice until smooth, bring the mulled wine to a boil, stir in the pudding powder, and thicken. Sweeten to taste, if desired. Serve the pear with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the hot sauce. Decorate the plate with sugar and powdered sugar for winter.
