Fried banana with almonds and red wine sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 banana(s), not too ripe
  • 2 tbsp, heaped almond flakes
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 100 ml sweet wine (red dessert or fruit wine, alternatively plum or cherry juice)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Peel the banana and halve it lengthwise. Lightly brown the flaked almonds in a stainless steel pan without fat, just until crispy. Transfer them from the pan to a small plate and set aside. Heat the butter in the hot pan and fry the two banana halves in the butter, turning them over and frying the other side. Arrange the lightly browned bananas on a plate. Add the red wine or fruit wine (or plum or cherry juice if children are eating) to the pan and deglaze the butter. Immediately pour over the bananas and sprinkle with the flaked almonds. Serve warm immediately.
