Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g apples, sour (not floury)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50 g butter, melted
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Carinthian specialty

Peel the apples and then either coarsely grate them or dice them finely. Add the salt and egg, and finally mix in the flour. Form this mixture into small dumplings, place them in boiling salted water, and let them rest for 10 minutes. Pour hot butter over them and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Serve hot. Tip: You can also omit the cinnamon and sugar and serve them with vanilla pudding.
