Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour, wholemeal
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 tsp bread spice mix, coarse
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 180 ml buttermilk
  • 120 g mixed seeds (sunflower, linseed, sesame and pumpkin seeds) or walnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Combine the spelt flour, dry yeast, salt, sugar, spices, and seeds. Combine the water and buttermilk, then add everything and mix. It will form a rather soft dough. Line a loaf pan with baking paper. Pour in the batter and let it rest briefly. Then bake immediately in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 75 minutes (add a cup of water to the oven). Cover after about 40 minutes.
