Super chocolatey chocolate ice cream

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp Nutella
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 30 g chocolate shavings, possibly more

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours 15 minutes; Total time approx. 5 hours 30 minutes

for chocoholics, without ice cream maker

Whisk the egg yolks with water, milk, and sugar over a simmering pan until frothy. Remove from the heat and melt the Nutella, stirring constantly. Stir in the cocoa powder. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form and fold it into the chocolate mixture along with the chocolate shavings. Pour into a shallow dish and freeze for about 5 hours. To prevent ice crystals from forming, stir the ice cream occasionally with a fork. Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving.
