Quark waffles

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 50 g butter, liquid
  • 40 g sugar
  • some lemon or orange peel
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until frothy and set aside. Then whisk the egg yolks with the sugar. Add the quark and lemon or orange zest and beat until smooth. Then add the melted butter, flour, and milk and mix to form a smooth batter. Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the quark and egg mixture. Bake waffles in batches.
