classic, simple and delicious

Place the meat cubes, bell peppers, and onion slices one after the other on greased wooden skewers (repeat until the skewers are completely lined up). The first and last layer should be a piece of meat! Heat the fat (butter and oil) in a pan and sear the skewers vigorously on all sides. Reduce the heat and add a little water. Continue simmering, gradually adding more liquid (water), turning the skewers frequently. After about 20 minutes of cooking, add the tomato paste with a little water and the remaining onion and bell pepper pieces, and continue simmering at a lower heat for about 15-30 minutes (a little longer if necessary). Important! Don’t forget to turn the skewers occasionally and add more water if necessary. Season to taste and serve with bread, chips, etc. and a fresh salad. Add more seasoning if desired (salt, pepper, paprika).
