Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 mango(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 50 g bacon (belly bacon), streaky, smoked
  • 1 pinch of ground chili
  • 1 piece(s) butter, small piece

Peel the ripe mango and cut the flesh into bite-sized pieces. Finely dice the onion and bacon. Tip: The bacon is easier to dice finely if you put it in the freezer for a while. Sauté the onions and bacon in the butter until translucent or cooked, then sprinkle over the mango pieces. Add a little spice with a chili grinder. It’s perfect as a side dish to Far Eastern dishes or as a clever dessert, for example, with fried potatoes.
