Monster Chips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized potatoes
  • some olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

quick, easy, suitable for children and delicious!!

Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices. You can also use a slicer or grater. Use an apple corer to cut out two holes (=eyes) in the top of the potato. Use a small knife to cut out a small mouth underneath. Mix the oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush lightly with the oil mixture. For children, I would omit the paprika powder. Bake for about 25-30 minutes at 150-180°C, depending on the oven. I start my oven at 160°C and finish with 190°C, so the chips are nice and crispy and brown. If you like it a bit spicier, mix paprika powder into the oil mixture. You can also try it with caraway or other spices. This recipe is great to make with children on an autumn afternoon; cutting out the potatoes and brushing them on is great fun for the kids!
