Green spelt meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g green spelt, medium-finely ground
  • ½ liter of water
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 1 tsp herbal salt
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 4 tsp marjoram
  • 3 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • 100 g carrot(s), grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Basic recipe

Boil the green spelt with salt, vegetable stock powder, bay leaves (remove after cooking), and water, then let it swell over low heat for about 25 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients and mix well. Then form into patties. Fry in a pan with oil, then place in the oven at about 120°C for another 10 minutes to finish cooking.
