Baked Brussels sprouts with shallots

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 3 shallots, halved
  • 1 ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Soy sauce
  • Water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to approximately 190°C. Cut a shallow cross into each foot of sprouts (to encourage thorough cooking). In a casserole or baking dish, arrange the sprouts with the shallots and sprinkle generously with the ginger. Lightly drizzle with soy sauce and olive oil. Finally, add enough water to lightly cover the bottom. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, opening the lid briefly at the end to reduce the liquid. Serve warm.
