Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g semolina
  • 12 cubes of confectionery (nougat confectionery), e.g. from Ildefonso or similar.
  • breadcrumbs
  • Hazelnuts, ground
  • n. B. chocolate sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Mix the butter and egg together, stir in the quark, then slowly add the flour, semolina, and a pinch of salt, and knead thoroughly. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes. Then roll the dough into a log and cut into finger-thick slices. Flatten these in your hand, add an Ildefonso or other nougat mixture, shape it into a dumpling, and let it rest in lightly salted water for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, toast the breadcrumbs and ground nuts together in a pan. When the dumplings are done, toss them in the nut crumbs, garnish with a little chocolate sauce, and serve warm.
