Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 2 packets of vanilla extract or a vanilla pod (score)
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine the sugar and cornstarch. Take 13 tablespoons of the milk and add it to the sugar-cornstarch mixture, stir. Bring the remaining milk to a boil with vanilla extract (or vanilla bean). Separate two eggs, add the egg yolks to the cornstarch mixture, stir, then stir the cornstarch mixture into the hot milk and bring back to a boil. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the pudding. Pour into bowls and let cool.
