Blue cheese pate with port wine

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 350 g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 60 g butter, soft
  • 80 ml port wine
  • 300 g blue cheese, room temperature, crushed
  • 1 tbsp chives, chopped
  • 50 g walnuts (halves)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

tastes good not only during the Christmas and winter season

In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and butter until smooth, then stir in the port wine. Add the blue cheese and chives and stir until blended. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl and smooth the surface. Cover with foil and refrigerate for two hours. Once chilled, scatter the walnut halves over the pie, pressing down gently. Serve at room temperature. Delicious with bread, crackers, celery sticks, or apple and pear slices.
