Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g pork strips, approx. 1 x 1 cm pieces
- 1 red bell pepper(s), cut into fine strips
- 1 bell pepper(s), yellow, cut into fine strips
- 2 onions, finely diced
- 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
- 200 ml chicken broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 piece(s) ginger root, walnut-sized, grated
- 1 can pineapple, approx. 220 g, chunky,
- e.g. salt and pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp clarified butter
- 2 tbsp sour cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Brown the strips on all sides in clarified butter. Then add the onions and garlic and cook for a while. Add the remaining ingredients (except the bell peppers and pineapple chunks). Add half the juice from the can of pineapple. Mix everything well and simmer for another 15 minutes. Now add the pineapple chunks and bell peppers and simmer for another 10-15 minutes, until the peppers are tender. Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper. This dish tastes best with rice.
