Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 2 rolls, stale
  • 2 onions
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp mustard (herb mustard)
  • 1 tbsp curry ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • Milk
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Mini meatballs

Soak the rolls in the milk. Chop the onion and bell pepper into small pieces. Mix the squeezed-out rolls with the finely chopped onion, bell pepper, raw eggs, mustard, and ketchup. Season the minced meat mixture with the spices to taste. Form the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking foil. Place in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 20 minutes, turning the oven to the highest setting for the last few minutes or, if possible, briefly broiling. This yields about 50 balls, which can also be prepared a day in advance.
