Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 Chinese cabbage
  • Salt
  • 5 dl milk
  • 45 g fat
  • 45 g flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cube of herbs (garden herbs)
  • Cheese
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the cabbage lengthwise and place it in salted water for about 10 minutes to deter any small insects. Then wash thoroughly, cut into strips, and boil in sufficient water for about 15 minutes, then drain. Mix the flour with the butter, slowly add the milk, whisk, and cook thoroughly. Season with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg. Pour a layer of sauce into a greased baking dish, top with the cabbage, then pour over the remaining sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and grill on the lowest rack.
