Buttermilk wholemeal bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml buttermilk, lukewarm
  • 450 g wholemeal spelt flour or wholemeal wheat flour
  • 200 g spelt flour type 630
  • 4 tbsp vinegar, e.g. fruit vinegar
  • 2 tsp, leveled sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast or 1/2 cube of fresh yeast
  • 1 tbsp bread spice mix (coriander, fennel, anise, caraway) or up to 2 tbsp to taste
  • 75 g mixed seeds, e.g. sunflower seeds, linseed, pumpkin seeds, sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 35 minutes

For the bread maker

Add all ingredients, except for the seeds, to the baking pan one at a time. When the beep sounds, add the seeds. If desired, you can spray the dough with a spray bottle at the very end of the rising phase and sprinkle a few more seeds on top. Settings: Program: Normal Size: 1200g Browning: Medium
