Tomato sauce with burrata

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 300 g cocktail tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g whipped cream
  • 1 ball of burrata
  • basil
  • 500 g gnocchi, sweet potato gnocchi if desired
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with gnocchi

Peel the garlic cloves and heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Then cook the cloves whole in the oil for three minutes. Meanwhile, either boil or fry the gnocchi. Then increase the heat of the pan slightly and add the cherry tomatoes. Fry for 10 minutes, until most of the tomatoes have broken down. Pour in the cream and let it reduce slightly. Season with salt and pepper. Now add the gnocchi to the tomatoes and stir. Tear the burrata into pieces over the pan. Sprinkle with basil and serve.
