Ingredients for 40 servings:

  • 600 g puff pastry, frozen
  • Milk for brushing
  • 300 g cheese, grated, (Emmental)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cheese pastries

Thaw the puff pastry according to the package instructions. Stack the pastry sheets on top of each other and roll out into a 40 x 50 cm rectangle. Brush the puff pastry with milk and sprinkle with cheese. Fold the short edges of the sheet over twice from the outside to the center and then fold them together. Cut the pastry sheet into approximately 1 cm thick slices. Place the slices cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake on the middle rack of a preheated oven (200°C – 15-20 minutes, fan oven: approx. 170°C). Remove the pastry from the baking paper, remove from the baking paper, and let it cool completely on a wire rack. Enjoy.
