Heavenly chocolate-banana rice pudding dream

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 250 g rice pudding
  • 200 g sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 60 g cocoa powder
  • 3 banana(s), overripe
  • 200 g chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp clove powder
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Himmesperger Omas bochana rice (baked rice) – can be varied in many ways

Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan. Then add the rice pudding and let it swell for 35 minutes on the lowest heat, stirring occasionally. Thinly slice the bananas and add them along with the other ingredients, stirring in. Transfer to an oblong baking dish. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 1 hour on the middle rack. If desired, you can sprinkle the baked rice pudding with powdered sugar. You can vary the rice pudding by using pitted cherries, apples, or currants… and omitting the bananas, chocolate, and cocoa.
