Rice casserole with apples

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • ¾ liter of milk
  • 170 g rice
  • 75 g butter
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 60 g sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 380 g apples
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • Raisins
  • Salt
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Chop the apples. Cook the rice in milk with a pinch of salt until soft, then let cool. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks and chill. Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg yolks until fluffy. Carefully mix the rice with the chopped apples, raisins, and egg whites. Pour into a greased dish and bake at medium heat (160-175°C) until golden brown. Serve with apple compote.
