Baguette casserole

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 16 slice(s) baguette(s), approx. 220 g
  • 100 g herb butter or garlic butter
  • 16 slices of smoked turkey breast, approx. 200 g
  • 16 slice(s) of cheese (Gouda), approx. 150 g
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 0.38 liters of milk
  • 3 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Spread the baguette slices with butter. Place one slice each of turkey breast and Gouda on each slice of bread. Arrange them fan-shaped in a greased gratin dish. Whisk together the chopped parsley, milk, and eggs, season with pepper, salt, and nutmeg, and carefully pour over the bread. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 25 minutes. This is a simple, delicious way to use up leftovers. I like to serve it with an arugula and tomato salad.
