Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 egg(s), separated
  • Sesame seeds, for sprinkling
  • Flour , for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Mix the egg yolk, flour, butter, and cheese into a firm dough. Wrap in foil and let rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. On a floured surface, shape the dough into a log approximately 6 cm in diameter. Cut the log into approximately 35 slices and carefully arrange them on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Whisk the egg white with 1 tablespoon of water and brush the slices with it. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the dough and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for approximately 10-12 minutes. A sour cream or tomato salsa dip goes perfectly with this.
