Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 150 ml milk, approx.
  • 2 m.-sized apples, peeled, pitted, in small pieces
  • 4 medium-sized tomatoes, cut into small pieces
  • ½ cucumber(s), with peel, cut into strips
  • 6 herring fillet(s), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 20 minutes

Whisk the quark with the milk until creamy, then fold in the apples, tomatoes, cucumber, and herring. Season with salt and pepper and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least half a day. Serve with boiled potatoes.
