Grilled asparagus

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 stalk(s) asparagus, white
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 dashes lemon juice
  • 2 pinches of sugar
  • 3 slice(s) butter, thin

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

very simple, without many ingredients

Peel the asparagus and trim off the woody end. Fold a double layer of aluminum foil. Place the asparagus on top, season with salt, a little pepper, sugar, and a little lemon juice. Place the thin slices of butter on top and seal the package tightly. Grill directly for 8-10 minutes, then turn once and grill for another 8-10 minutes. Leave the package on the grill indirectly until, for example, the beef steaks are done. Our asparagus was a bit thicker, and the cooking time was just right for us. If you have thinner stalks, you may need to reduce the cooking time. Whether you prefer your asparagus soft (like us) or with a slight bite is a matter of taste. Therefore, the cooking time is relative and must be adjusted individually.
