Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 fish fillets (matjes)
  • 1 bunch of radishes
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 gherkins
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Sugar (alternatively sweetener)
  • some cress

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Rinse the herring under running water and cut into pieces. Trim and finely chop the radishes. Finely chop the onion, gherkins, and bell pepper and mix everything together. Mix together the oil, lemon juice, mustard, pepper, and sugar or sweetener. Pour the marinade over the ingredients and let it marinate well. Sprinkle with the cress before serving.
