- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 tbsp ajvar
- salt and pepper
- 250g mozzarella
- 6 cherry tomatoes

Soak the bread rolls in cold water, finely dice the onion. Knead the minced meat, squeezed-out bread roll, onion, egg, and aivar together. Season. With moistened hands, form 12 meatballs from the mixture. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the meatballs on the meatballs and bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for about 20 minutes. Drain the mozzarella and cut into 12 slices. Five minutes before the end of the cooking time, top each meatball with a slice of mozzarella. Wash the tomatoes, pat dry, and halve them. Remove the meatballs from the oven and top each with half a tomato.
