Hearty Winter Stew

The perfect hearty winter stew recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Ground beef
  • 400 g Savoy cleaned
  • 250 Waxy potatoes
  • 1 pole Leeks approx. 200 g
  • 1 Red bell pepper approx. 150 g
  • 2 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 2 liter Beef broth (8 teaspoons instant)
  • 100 ml Cooking cream
  • 1 tbsp Sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sambal oelek
  • 5 big pinches Coarse sea salt from the mill
  • 5 big pinches Colorful pepper from the mill
  • 2 big pinches Nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp Parsley frozen
  1. Peel off the savoy cabbage leaves, cut out the leaf stalk and first cut into strips and then into pieces. Peel, wash and dice the potatoes. Clean and wash the leek and cut into rings. Clean and wash the peppers and cut into small diamonds. Heat sunflower oil (2 tbsp) in a large saucepan and fry the beef mince until crumbly, add the vegetables (potato cubes, leek rings, peppers and pieces of savoy cabbage) and fry for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Deglaze / pour in the beef broth (2 liters) and sprinkle with sweet soy sauce (1 tbsp), sambal oelek (1 teaspoon), coarse sea salt from the mill (5 big pinches), colored pepper from the mill (5 big pinches) and nutmeg ( 2 big pinches). Let everything simmer / boil for about 25 – 30 minutes with the lid closed. Finally stir in the parsley (2 tbsp frozen) and serve the soup hot.
