Ingredients for 18 servings:
- 18 tortillas
- 1 kg minced meat, mixed
- 800 g tomatoes, chopped (from a can)
- 2 onions
- 400 ml water
- 1 iceberg lettuce
- 1 jar jalapeño(s) sliced
- 1 can of corn
- 1 bottle of sauce (cheese sauce, nachi cheese dip)
- 1 pack of seasoning mix (Fuego Burrito Seasoning Mix)
- salt and pepper
- Cayenne pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Finely chop the onions. Cut the lettuce into strips about 1 cm wide and 4 cm long. Fry the ground beef in a large pan until crumbly. Just before it starts to brown, add the onions. Once both have browned, stir in the seasoning mix, stir in the chopped tomatoes, and then add the water. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the liquid has almost completely evaporated. Heat the tortillas briefly in the microwave and then top with the ground beef, some corn, the jalapenos, and a ring of lettuce. Pour some of the cheese sauce over the lettuce and roll up the tortilla. You can also serve the whole thing as a buffet and expand it with other ingredients so that everyone can add their own toppings to their burrito. That’s something different for a party.
