Rolls with cheese filling

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 rolls, fresh or from the day before
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 2 shallots
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 200 g cheese of your choice, any leftovers
  • 3 slices of salami or 2 slices of cooked ham

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Use for yesterday’s rolls and leftover cheese

Cut deep diamond-shaped slices into the rolls, but do not cut all the way through. Finely chop the chives and finely dice the shallots and garlic. Cut the salami or cooked ham into very small cubes. Finely grate the cheese. Mix the ingredients together and fill the rolls with it. Bake in the oven at 160°C (convection oven) for about 25 minutes, until the rolls are crispy and the cheese has melted. I used Gouda and salami this time because I had leftovers of both in the fridge. But you can use any firm cheese according to your taste. The salami can also be substituted for cooked ham, Krakow sausage, diced ham, etc.
