A – B – C – Jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 2 bananas
  • 600 g clementines or oranges
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 kg gelling sugar 1:1 or 500 g gelling sugar 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Apple, banana, clementine

Juice the clementines and add 400 ml of juice to a large saucepan. Peel the apples, coarsely grate them, and stir 400 g into the clementine juice. The clementine juice prevents the grated apples from discoloring. Mash the bananas with a fork and add them to the sauce. This should yield 1 kg of fruit. Add a pinch of cinnamon and the gelling sugar and bring to a boil. Boil gently for about 6 minutes. Immediately pour into clean jam jars and seal. Tip: I rinse the jam jars, including the lids, with high-proof alcohol (rum) before filling. If you prefer less sweet jams, you can of course use gelling sugar at a ratio of 2:1.
