Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of clove(s)
  • 2 tsp cocoa
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g hazelnuts, whole
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Mix all ingredients into a firm dough (until nothing sticks to the bottom of the bowl) and then spread evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 35 minutes. Slice the king skewers while they’re still hot. Once they’ve cooled, it’s too late.
