low sugar, great for children’s birthdays, makes about 30 pieces
You will also need a piece of Styrofoam and 30 cake pop sticks. Beat the eggs until very fluffy. Then add the sugar and vanilla sugar, continuing to beat. Add the butter and beat until smooth. Mix the flour with the baking powder, gradually add to the egg mixture, and stir to form a lump-free batter. Finally, mash the banana with a fork and mix the banana puree into the batter. Lightly grease and preheat the cake pop maker. It’s best to fill the batter into the holes using a piping bag and bake the balls one at a time. The batter is enough for about 30 balls from my cake pop maker. You could certainly use an oven-baked cake pop tray, but I have no experience with that. Let the balls cool slightly. Melt the chocolate or make icing, dip about 1 cm of the stick ends into the chocolate or icing, and skewer the balls. Place them in Styrofoam to dry or on baking paper. Finally, decorate them as desired with chocolate, icing, sprinkles, etc., and place them back in the Styrofoam to dry or place them upside down on baking paper. Note: For younger children, you can leave out the decorations to save sugar. They taste delicious as they are and were a hit with the children and teachers at daycare, both with and without decorations.
