Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 large egg whites, room temperature
  • 115 g sugar, very finely processed (with a steel knife or kitchen knife)
  • 130 g confectionery (After Eight), coarsely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

makes about 36 pieces of confectionery

Preheat the oven to 135°C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Beat the egg whites until frothy. Gradually add the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, and continue beating until the meringue is very stiff and glossy. Gently fold in the confectionery. Drop small heaping spoonfuls of the meringue mixture (a small tablespoonful at a time) onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced 2.5 cm apart, and bake for 1 to 1.5 hours, until the meringues are completely dry on the outside but still slightly firm on the inside. Cool completely.
