Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 175 g wheat flour, fine
  • 140 g butter
  • 70 g sugar, extra fine
  • Jam (blackcurrant jelly or plum jam)
  • lemon juice
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Cut the butter into pieces and quickly mix all ingredients into a smooth dough. Roll out the dough thinly (the thickness of the back of a knife) and cut out shapes using cookie cutters of different sizes. Place on an ungreased, cold baking sheet (or use parchment paper). Bake at approximately 150°C until light golden brown and let cool. Stir the currant jelly or plum jam with a little lemon juice until smooth and stick the cookies together in terraces of two or three. Sprinkle the finished cookies with powdered sugar. This recipe comes from my mother, and they have always been our favorite cookies, which were very carefully portioned out.
