Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 pkt. dumpling dough (potato dumpling dough)
- 9 apricots
- 6 cherries
- 300 g breadcrumbs
- 100 g sugar
- 40 g margarine, vegan
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Prepare the potato dumpling mixture according to the instructions, but without the egg, and let it rest. Bring a large pot of water and a pinch of salt to a boil. Pit the apricots and cherries. Add 1 sugar cube or 1 teaspoon of cane sugar to each and form fist-sized dumplings. Simmer the dumplings in the water according to the instructions for about 15 minutes. Heat the margarine in a pan and toast the breadcrumbs. Add the sugar. Once cooked, immediately dip the dumplings in the breadcrumbs and turn them over. Serve with homemade plum compote and plum compote. If desired, drizzle melted margarine over the dumplings.
